The Clear Solution

Have you always wanted straighter teeth but didn’t want to deal with metal braces? What if we told you that there was an orthodontic treatment that will straighten your teeth without the use of metal wires and brackets? Don’t put off achieving the smile of your dreams any longer. Read more to find out about the “clear” solution.

The Invisalign system is an orthodontic treatment that uses clear aligner trays to gradually correct mild to moderately misaligned or crooked teeth. They work as effectively as conventional braces but is a preferred choice for patients who want a more discreet treatment.

The Invisalign Difference

Like metal braces, Invisalign helps to straighten teeth, close gaps between teeth and correct misaligned bites. The difference, however, is why patients favor this treatment. Advantages of Invisalign include:

  • Virtually unnoticeable — If you are concerned about how metal braces look, then consider Invisalign. The clear aligners are discrete and don’t take away from the appearance of your smile.
  • Comfortable — The clear aligners are smooth and comfortable to wear. They won’t poke into the inside of your cheek or gums like metal braces can.
  • Removable — Invisalign aligner trays are taken out for eating and brushing and flossing your teeth. This helps you maintain a healthy mouth because you can more easily clean in between teeth with floss. What’s great is that you don’t have to avoid certain foods, either.

The length of treatment depends on each patient’s dental needs. The aligners are typically worn for 12 to 18 months. A retainer is usually recommended after treatment is complete to maintain the position of the teeth.
